(un)Muscling Pole Climbing. What Is a Clean Pole Climb? Crack of Dawn Conditioning

Monday April 21th, 2025 is a continuation of pole climbing and you won’t need to have come to previous classes in order to drop in and keep up. The overthought notion of “cleaning” up movement can be broken down into a few categories: coordination, control, movement characteristics or aesthetic choice. This Crack of Dawn Conditioning session will introduce new approaches or refine your pole climbing techniques that touch on them all. We’ll wipe away the notion of “clean” to replace it with the actuality of “capable”.
Whether you join online (virtually) or at Le Cabinet Noire (Westside of Atlanta near Chattahoochee Foodworks), we’ll modulate through understanding how climbing the pole shouldn’t tire you out or use up all of your energy. It’s much more about coordination of full body strength, than it is about upper body strength. You’re invited to not clean up your climb, but to freak it and coordinate it so that you have an expanse of motion choices available at your fingertips through your pole climb.
Crack of Dawn Conditioning is every Monday Morning at 7:30AM EDT (Atlanta, GA time). Yes, I know that’s early but hear me out:
- Struggling with consistency means you’re not prioritizing the activity. Hold yourself to a routine by putting your money where your desire for consistency is.
- Conditioning isn’t just about muscle strength, it’s about learning how to prevent, lessen and to rehabilitate injuries.
- Develop a deeper understanding of your body’s capabilities and limitations, leading to better control and coordination.
- Start your week off by releasing tension and stiffness accumulated from the previous week’s stressors
