Every Wednesday the hours of 8pm to 10pm will be reserved for you to work your art. I will set the atmosphere each week and you will show up as you desire and use the space, time and energy as you need to. This salon exists as a cyber space that could be considered as a vulgar version of “The Dark Tower” salons. During the Harlem Renaissance folks like A’Lelia Walker and Zora Neale Hurston would host the artists of their time within space as a solace for socializing and titillating creativity. While these gatherings have been remembered as feasts, indulgences of conversational pleasure, refuge for queerness and also criticized as Jack and Jill-esque partying, I will be erecting this relic as a space for artistic feasting and creation.
