(3)Three, two hour zoom sessions on August 6, 20 and September 3rd. Sessions are intentionally spread over 4 weeks + a visualization graphic model that shows the road to a grippier and flat(er) Jade split.
There’s much more that meets the eye when it comes to Jade splits. It’s an illusion trick.
Synthesize the concept, tradition, components and various methodologies of the pole trick — Jade split (inverted horizontal front split on the pole). This is designed for learners who want to build a vocabulary of skills that translate into various options that secure a consistent performance of grippier and flatter jade splits (or its variations) anywhere on the pole.
For this lab, it’s not necessary for you to be able to have a front split on the ground or chopper inversion.

3 key components to executing Jade Split are synthesized into 15 + concrete actualization methods that sustainably build upon each other and offer options for various conditions and executions

F.A.Q’s
Q: What’s the payment schedule?
A: Participation is $100 total. $50 is due at checkout as a deposit to hold your spot, which is non refundable. Then, $50 will be deducted 2 weeks to the day of checkout from the same payment method to complete the transaction. After the transaction is completed there will be no refunds. If you need to relinquish your spot before the final payment you can cancel your participation by contacting me.
Q: Are there any accessories I will need?
A: Yes! They are not required but they will help tremendously.
1. Resistance bands (one of each lite, medium and heavy). If you wish to purchase them from me once you add this item to cart a coupon will be available. Apply the coupon and the bands will be added automatically to your cart.
2. Pole Grip Aide, one that works for your body. Performance Tempel’s Monkey Hands, in ‘Stick’ formula is recommended.
3. Yoga blocks and a yoga mat
Q: What can I expect to learn?
A: You will be introduced to the soft and hard skills needed for the entry, execution and exit variations for Jade. We will be focusing strict on developing the cognitive and physical behaviors needed for safe execution from start to finish of Jade. You will also be given the opportunity to explore different aesthetic and tradition explorations. You will not be taught dance sequences or flow combinations that include Jade or its variations, although it’s welcome to do so from external resources.
Q: What level is this appropriate for?
R: I don’t like conditioning according to the standard pole levels often ascribed. To answer this question think of it like this: jade is an illusion split that doesn’t require having an actual ground split. There are entries that do not require having a chopper invert even.
However, what it does require is: a. willingness to accept range of motion limitations and work on them off-pole, b. active engagement through the lower body, and c. mental resilience to face the fear and apprehension of having no hands gripping the pole and being inverted. If you demonstrate this already in your pole practice, this is appropriate for you.
Q: What are the session dates and time options?
R: On alternating Sundays August 6, 20, Sep 3. There is a repeat, recover, rest week in-between each lab.
Q: What if I can’t make every session?
R: Recordings will be provided after the session. And since there is a week in-between each session I will be available to asses practice videos sent to me, ask questions and give individualized assistance.
